SCAVENGE, DESIGN, BUILD
Demolition Revival Furniture is a green studio woodshop tucked into the trees above Lambert’s Cove, on the island of Martha’s Vineyard. We design and build original works of heirloom-quality furniture from reclaimed wood and vintage hardware.
Most of the wood we use is salvaged from demolition projects and downed trees on Martha’s Vineyard itself, and we utilize approximately 80 – 90% reclaimed materials in every piece we construct. In this way we hope to inspire others to find beauty and worth in our island’s past, as we work with our customers toward creating a sustainable future.
Custom orders are welcomed. We collaborate regularly with homeowners, interior designers, builders, and architects to create unique new works for projects of any scale.
SAVE A TREE, USE DEBRIS
The materials at hand inspire our designs, and every scrap is useful. Aged wood patinas are honored, and grain patterns are highlighted and juxtaposed in surprising combinations. Our durable custom paint finishes are water-based, lead-free, and low or zero VOC. Each completed piece is hand-polished with beeswax to protect the finish and provide a warm luster.
On-island delivery is available, and off-island freight can be arranged anywhere in the continental US.
We are limited only by imagination, the laws of gravity, and the availability of other people’s garbage — the last of which seems practically endless.
Ready-made pieces and floor sample installations may be seen by appointment at our Lambert’s Cove studio. To find us on Martha’s Vineyard, please click on the “Contact” page.
